Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Forum Annual Members' Survey

We are carrying out this survey to get feedback about our existing work and help us plan future work. We are very happy for two or more people in the same organisation to do the survey, so please pass on the link to anyone else in the organisation you think it may be valuable for us to hear from.

Complete our members' survey

* You will win a USB pen drive, courtesy of Electroville, if your organisation is one of the first 25 to return the survey!

The Yorkshire & Humber Strategy

The Yorkshire & Humber Strategy (formerly known as the Integrated Regional Strategy) is the latest attempt to put in place a strategic framework for delivering sustainable economic growth in the English regions over a twenty year period. It is designed to replace all the existing regional strategies; in particular the Regional Economic Strategy and the Regional Spatial Strategy. Each region has significant autonomy in deciding how to go about developing its own strategy.

In Yorkshire and the Humber a new governance structure is now in place to oversee this development. The Strategy is going to be built from "the bottom up" and must involve the voluntary and community sector in its design and implementation.

To find out more about the Yorkshire & Humber Strategy and what the Regional Forum is doing to engage with it, click on the link.

Sign up to our Manifesto!

The purpose of our "Voluntary & Community Sector Manifesto for Yorkshire and the Humber" is to influence the manifestos of political parties for the next general election and to build relationships, understanding and support for the sector amongst Councillors, MPs and prospective Parliamentary Candidates in our region.

You can use the Manifesto in various ways, all of which will show support from across the sector and help raise awareness and gather momentum.

Sign up your organisation to the principles of the Manifesto
• Use this model letter to send the Manifesto to your local MP
• Use or adapt this short article to put in newsletters or e-bulletins

The more organisations sign up to it, the more powerful a tool it will be, and the stronger a voice for the sector.

Hard copies of the Manifesto are available from the Regional Forum.

Yorkshire & the Humber Regional Forum

The Regional Forum provides a coherent regional voice for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Yorkshire and the Humber.

It is a member led network of networks with over 160 members linking us to more than 20,000 front line groups. The Forum brings together voluntary and community sector organisations to ensure that the sector has the right support and structures to contribute to regional activity.

The Forum’s work focuses on tackling the disadvantage and disconnection which exist across Yorkshire and the Humber. The Forum believes that by placing the voluntary and community sector at the heart of the region, we can create an inclusive and vibrant region – with a high quality of life for all. The Regional Forum supports, develops and advocates for a VCS that is...influential, informed, strengthened and connected.

The work of the Regional Forum covers a range of areas:
