Tuesday 24th August 2010

Yorkshire & the Humber Support and Development Organisations Summer Gathering

Venue: St George's Centre, Leeds
Time: 1.00pm - 4.30pm

Yorkshire & the Humber Forum, and the Yorkshire and the Humber Infrastructure Consortium, is pleased to invite you to attend a gathering of region-wide support and development (infrastructure) organisations on Tuesday 24th August, 1pm-4.30pm (St George's Centre, Leeds).

The agenda for the day will include:

  • The emerging Yorkshire and the Humber Support and Development Organisations Alliance and the role of regional networks and organisations. The Alliance is a mechanism for ensuring that VCS support and development organisations work together better at all levels.
  • Big Society: "The Post Election and the VCS" - up to date information from the Yorkshire & the Humber Forum about emerging policy priorities from the coalition government and how they affect the sector as well as an overview of what the Forum is doing to respond. This will include discussion about the implications for support and development (infrastructure) services.
  • The Office for Civil Society (Cabinet Office) consultation on the future of infrastructure support services (subject to the timings of the consultation)
  • Sharing our intelligence and experience - a focus on collaboration

During times of change and transition the need to work together is stronger than ever. Please do try to put the date in your diary and come along.

Further information will be circulated shortly. In the meantime if you would like to register your interest please email Ian Gardner to reserve a place.

There will be no charge for this event. However, if you book a place and fail to turn up (and do not notify us by Thursday 19th August) a charge of £25 will be levied to cover costs.
