	City regions in Yorkshire and the Humber (PDF: 340.92KB) This briefing explains the concept and rationale which underlie city regions and how they are developing in Yorkshire and the Humber. It considers why they are important and what the implications are for the voluntary and community sector (VCS).
	Total Place - Briefing (PDF: 230.7KB) Total Place is a new government initiative that looks at how a ‘whole area’ approach to delivering public services can lead to better services at less cost. Bradford is the only place in the region that has been selected to be a Total Place pilot. Their chosen theme is ‘Gateway to Integrated Services’.

	Yorkshire & Humber Strategy - Briefing (PDF: 287.26KB) The Regional Forum has now published a briefing on the Integrated Regional Strategy, now called the Yorkshire & Humber Strategy. The strategy is the latest attempt to put in place a strategic framework for delivering sustainable economic growth in the English regions over a twenty year period.
	The Equality Bill - an update (PDF: 267.52KB) This briefing updates the Policy Briefing ‘The Single Equality Bill’ published by the Regional Forum in March 2009. This update gives details on: * the progress of the Bill through Parliament * the content of the Bill * some key Issues and Concerns
	The Single Equality Bill - Policy Briefing (VEHRN & Regional Forum) (PDF: 24.07KB) This briefing provides you with an introduction to the Single Equalities Bill in the light of the Government’s plans in passing the Bill through the Parliament by the end of 2009. It summarises key element and areas of the Bill, and major policy issues. It also lists actions and decisions that you will need to consider.
	Tackling Race Inequalities: A Discussion Document (PDF: 64.48KB) This is a document seeking views on the Government’s future approach to tackling race inequalities. It is intended to be the start of a wide ranging discussion and asks 3 key questions about race inequality; • What should a government race equality strategy look like? • How does tackling race inequality fit with a broader equality and fairness agenda? • How do we strengthen our society to tackle race inequalities?
	Review of the Compact (PDF: 27.54KB) The Commission of the Compact is concerned that the Government’s commitment to, and compliance with, the Compact is perceived by the voluntary and community sector as being slow and patchy. There has been a long standing view that if it is to have any real impact, the Compact needs to have statutory authority. It has announced a review into the Compact and this briefing paper sets out the structure of the review and the Regional Forum involvement with it.
	Sub-National Review Consultation Issues Paper (PDF: 117.16KB) This issues paper was prepared by The Regional Forum from the Consultation document “Prosperous Places”; Taking forward the Review of Sub-National Economic Development.
	Sub-National Review and City Regions (PDF: 121.46KB) The Sub-National Review led by the Treasury and published in July 2007 has examined economic development and regeneration in our region. This briefing sets out what is happening, its implications for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) and what the Regional Forum and its members are doing.

	Regional Forum Response to the Third Sector Review (PDF: 48.69KB) This document formalises the Regional Forum's repsonse to the Treasury's Review of the Third Sector. It has been prepared in collaboration with the Trustee Board of the Regional Forum.

	Consortium Development Toolkit (PDF: 575.29KB) This toolkit enables consortia to:- identify their stage of development, direction of travel and what they want to become; identify the activities they may need to undertake in order to achieve their aims. Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber will support sub-regional ChangeUp consortia using the Consortium Development Toolkit as part of their monitoring and evaluation work
	Race Equality Framework (PDF: 158.55KB) The Framework is set out as a positive measure to make sure generalist infrastructure understands its responsibilities to help meet the needs of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) voluntary and community organisations, increase its support and strengthen BME infrastructure capacity.
